Plot: While in her Personal Development class, 15 year old Megan discovers she is pregnant. The first
of the three Megan books takes the reader through Megan's pregnancy.
My Opinion: The decisions Megan makes, how
her friends and family take the news, how the father takes the news and Megan's difficult adjustment
is told amazingly by Mary Hooper. The reader will really get into the books and realise teen mums
aren't just girls who sleep around.
Megan 2
Plot: The second of the Megan series follows on where Megan left of- Megan's decision to keep her
litle baby boy.
My Opinion: This book is equally gripping and really portrays how teen single mums are alone in
the world and everything they have to give up. These books just show that you should make decisons
carefully and make the reader think differently about single mothers.
Megan 3
Plot: In the final instalment of the Megan series, it's Jack's (Megan's son) first birthday but Megan
is too distracted with how many phone calls her mother have recntly been getting from a mysterious
man. It turns out Megan's mum has a boyfriend- and he is moving in!
My Opinion: The final book is the best fo all three. The arrival of Megan's mother's boyfriend really stirs
up the family and with family dilema Megan has to think of her mother's happiness and her son's safety.
Definately the most contoversial of all three.
